About the Brand
Auberge du Soleil, overlooking the Napa Valley from a hillside grove of olive trees, became one of America's most celebrated wine country inns when it opened in 1981. The culinary tradition established there — farm-to-table, wine-paired, ingredient-obsessed — has become the DNA of every subsequent Auberge property, from an Esperanza resort in Los Cabos to a Hawaiian coffee estate and a Mexican Colonial hacienda.
The Auberge approach to hospitality is resolutely anti-corporate: each property is genuinely distinct, deeply local, and intentionally small. Rooms are numbered in the dozens, not the hundreds. Dining is led by chefs with genuine relationships with the local food community. Experiences — foraging walks, winemaker dinners, private beach dinners — are created specifically for the location, not imported from a brand handbook.
